It is not just a game but a media project
Nintendo released a Japanese videogame franchise about hunting ghost-like creatures, created by Level-5 lnc. It has been really popular in Japan, that it is all over on televisions, movies and toys which are sell out in the country. It is the first game which Nintendo has published in North America with support at the outset from both a big media and toy company, according to Nintendo. Based on unit figure sales, it is likely Nintendo could make a revenue of more than $250 million.
Nintendo is buying up commercial time to promote this game, could it be what Nintendo needs? But with competitive games coming out at the same time such as Star Wars Battlefront, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and new Halo, will Nintendo be able to sustain the profit?
